This is me playing Michael Jackson's Beat It on the guitar. The solo is by the amazing Eddie Van Halen. I never play metal, and this is pretty much the first time I've ever experimented with tapping, pinch harmonics, and all that jazz. Michael Jackson is such an inspiration though, and this is such an epic song that I figured I had to at least give the solo a try!
So my sweet video transitions got messed up through YouTube too. A little bummed about that haha.
Any guitar you are hearing in this song was recorded by me; both backup and lead.
By the way, this is worth noting. My camera records the video, my mic records the sound. I get both onto the computer where I put them together. Sometimes the syncing is less than perfect. So, sorry for the parts that are slightly out of sync. This is neither pre-recorded, nor is it playback. And, of course, it is not fake.
Rest in peace Michael Jackson. Thriller was the first album I ever owned, and I'll never forget the impact you had on my life and the lives of so many others. The king of pop, the king of entertainment, the king of music. You will be missed.
