Michael Foley '84, chemical biology platform director for the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, is the guest on this episode of the "Conversations from St. Norbert College" television show, hosted by Kevin Quinn (Economics). They will discuss Foley's career in the sciences and his time at St. Norbert.

Foley earned a Ph.D. in chemistry at Harvard University and was instrumental in establishing the Harvard Institute of Chemistry and Cell Biology. He joined the Broad Institute, a biomedical research collaborative, in 2006 as director of the chemical biology platform. The organization he leads synthesizes and studies small molecules to understand cell circuitry, explore disease biology and develop disease treatments.

Foley is a co-founder of Infinity Pharmaceuticals and served as its vice president of chemistry from 2001 to 2006. He also co-founded CombinatoRx and Forma Therapeutics, and worked previously at Bristol-Myers Squibb and GlaxoSmithKline.
