Despite nearly two decades as a band, Death Cab for Cutie have embarked on a new journey with their new album, Kintsugi, their eighth full-length. Founding member and regular producer Chris Walla announced that he was leaving the band, leading them to work with an outside producer (in this case, Rich Costey) for the first time. They seem to have weathered the storm in fine fashion, soldiering on as a trio and performing new songs for us as they return to Morning Becomes Eclectic on the release day for their new album.
