FRC 2011 Autodesk Award for Excellence in Design: 3D Animation Showreel & Winner

The FIRST Robotics Competition 2011 Autodesk Award for Excellence in Design, 3D Animation honors excellence in student animation, including an understanding of the design process, storytelling, technical execution, creativity and aesthetics, and clear, concise, and compelling communication. Teams were tasked to create a 30 second animation that depicts a solution to a series of challenges that the iiko, an alien race, face on their home planet. Over 160 teams submitted animations for the "Change Their World" 2011 challenge featuring the Autodesk "iiko" character, and here is a sampling of their entries, including the winning entry for 2011.
