"Syrniki" is very popular farmer cheese dish in Russia. They usually fried and served with sour cream and strawberry preserves for breakfast. I want to show you how to make them baked in the oven. This way they come out fluffy and more delicious!
You will need:
600g(21oz) farmer cheese 4 eggs 5 table spoons of all purpose flour 5 tablespoons of sugar 5 tablespoons of white semolina(cream of wheat)(manka) 1 teaspoon of baking powder 5 table spoons of sour cream 1 packet of vanilla sugar or 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract optional: 1 teaspoon of dry lemon peel(https://www.penzeys.com/online-catalo...) Or you can use a zest of 1 lemon.
Mix all ingredients with hand blender, electric mixer or simply use a potato masher. You dough should be like a think pancake consistency.
You need to use molds to bake your farmer cheese cakes. Silicone molds work best for this recipe, but you can use a cupcake tin, just spray it with non-stick cooking spray!
Bake your caked in preheated to 375°F(190°C) oven for 30-35 min or until they are firm to the touch.
Cool a little bit and take out of molds to a beautiful platter. You can enjoy them hot or cold. They taste like cheesecake and very delicious! I hope you liked my video.
