Find your underwater world - even if it isn't underwater - with 11-year old Emma Purdy. Emma takes you along with her as she explores underneath the waters of high alpine lakes and rivers and the majestic ocean waters of Hawaii. Emma's TEDxYouth@SELS talk started as a class project and turned into a personal story about her greatest love in life - exploring beneath the surface of the water searching for secret treasures in the depths below. Emma is a competitive swimmer who has logged thousands of hours in the water. In her TEDxYouth@SELS talk, Emma shares some of her most memorable finds and some of her scariest moments beneath the surface.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
