I wrote directed filmed and produced Windy for the Quiet on the Set Short Film Competition. The guidelines were to make a short film 5 min. or less, show a library card as a prop, show an interior and an exterior scene of any metro library. I was racking my brain trying to come up with a story that I could use my horse in but could not come up with anything so one morning I woke up with a memory of something that happened to me about 23 years ago when I went to visit some rancher friends out in SD, Ah there's my story with horses I thought! I was lucky to know that there were a few more brandings to work at so I went out that next weekend, hooked up with my friends, got my actors right there at the branding who were people working that day. Thank god that most people knew the story so it was easy to pull it off, I think we all had fun doing it. So actually it's based on a true story and this is what I put together. Tonight Aug. 3rd is the Award Gala at the Riverveiw Theater. I have no expectations of wining but if I do I'll be pretty happy. It's been a fun adventure. I hope you enjoy the film.
