Here the tank drives up to a balloon begins to see it and slowly targets it before finally releasing a barage of pellets popping it.
This is part of my senior design project. We modified a remote control tank to drive by itself and identify color blobs on camera and then subsequently shooting the color blobs with the airsoft pellet gun we equiped it with. Project is for Professor Hamblen's ECE 4006 class part of the Electical and Computer Engineering Department at Georgia Tech.
The tank is controlled by an Altera UP3 development board running custom hardware as well as a synthesized Nios II processor.
