Bob Kurland was one of the first true big men in college basketball. Kurland played for coaching legend Henry Iba, and helped Oklahoma State win back-to-back national championships in 1945 and 1946.
Kurland was a three-time All-American, and changed the face of college basketball, as he was responsible for the addition of the goaltending rule. Bob Kurland was OSU's leading scorer for 46 years until he was passed by Byron Houston and Bryant Reeves. Kurland still owns the school record for points in a game with 58 scored vs. St. Louis.
