before I get bashed, I KNOW this can cause harm to dreads and there is a risk in using this method, as I explain in the video, I'm very careful about my methods and say multiple times that if you feel hair being ripped or pulled then you should try it a different way.
I'm more aesthetically concerned about my dreads so this is a risk I'm willing to take.
To my watchers: I got the sound problem prettymuch fixed :) and also Im sorry at how long it it, I didn't look at the time until the end (and it was at 19 minutes!) so I did some cutting down, and hopefully it's not still too long.
1:39 is about the crochet hook and basic technique
6:00 is getting into pulling loose hair back into dreads
7:49 is when I get into actually tightening the dread all the way down
11:48 is the wrap up
(this is where I remind you to keep the hook facing you thumb or towards your head so that you are pulling towards your head and not away.
also that you should be pulling your hair from the inside of the dread, not the outer layer, and that it shouldn't hurt or pull or break your hair, otherwise you're doing it wrong)
so make sure you comment your critiques, hopefully it helped and have a nice day :)
