FRC 2526 Penultimate Robot Test (FRC Breakaway 2010)

Here's the second to last test of our robot (nicknamed Steve) for the 2010 FIRST Robotics Competition: Breakaway! This is after our drive system was completed, which is designed much like the system used on the NASA crawler. As you can see, the robot easily drives over the obstacle!

Aftter the robot went over the obstacle, it hit the ground pretty hard, but we designed this robot like a tank to be able to take hits like this. We're really happy with how our robot is performing; it's just like we wanted it when we conceived of it 6 weeks ago!

We just have to mount our pneumatic kicker mechanism, do some final tests, then we'll be all set for the competition. See you all at the Minnesota North Star Regional!
