Followup report on my new SIG with some footage from the range. The gun shot great and felt very good. There were 2 malfunctions out of the 120 rounds fired, which is not very good, but hopefully it was just me limp wristing or the pistol not being broken in. Overall, this P226 is very smooth and tames the somewhat snappy recoil of the .40 caliber quite well. I'm already looking forward to shooting .357 SIG out of it and seeing if I can do better.
Update: The malfunctions were a result of my thumb riding up on the slide stop lever. I just have to be careful about my grip and the pistol will perform flawlessly.
