Columbus McKinnon is pleased to announce development of their new Steel Reclamation Systems. Multiple system configurations are available depending on customer need. The systems have many unique capabilities for producing crumb rubber, wire free TDF and clean salable steel; or the reclamation of commingled rubber and steel that has been rejected from either TDF or crumb rubber systems. The steel produced from this system is exceptionally clean and free of rubber particles and has less than 3% contaminates by weight. Rubber from the process has less than 1% contamination.

Each of the systems can be easily expanded as the markets for tire derived materials develop and can be operated independently to maximize efficiency, throughput and product quality. As a result, the customer is able to maximize market potential for both clean steel, TDF and ground rubber products.

Depending on production levels CM offers either a CM2R or 4R Liberator as an integral part of the Steel Reclamation System. Both Liberators are extremely robust and low maintenance. The unique design allows the machine to separate the steel from tire shreds in the purest, cleanest form possible. The system also includes wire screen and magnetic separators making the CM Steel Reclamation Systems the most profitable, clean steel producer on the market today.
