Maybe electric guitarists and pedal steel guitarists aren't too different at all, and this might sound crazy, but maybe they can even get along with each other. They could bond over classic tube amps, like the 1967 Fender Twin Reverb that Joel Paterson claims is a straight-to-the-point solid amp to play his pedal steel through. It's warm and clean, but it is not provided by nature. However two out of three isn't bad.
