Dave MacDonald and Bob Bondurant co-pilot Cobra Roadster CSX2136 - jointly entered by Steve McQueen & Carroll Shelby - to a 1st in GT (4th OA) finish in the 1963 Road America 500 at Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Shelby American entries finished this grueling 500 mile event 2-4-6 overall in a field of 62 sports cars. Winning time was 5 hrs 56 min
