A short except from the 1956 X Minus One episode "The Roads Must Roll," originally a story from 1940 by Robert A. Heinlein, and adapted for the radio by Ernest Kinoy. (This same script was also performed on Dimension X in 1950.)
This is the climactic scene, and I've uploaded it to showcase the exchange between Chief Engineer Larry Gaines and disgruntled former roadworker Shorty Van Kleek, the later having sabotaged the national motorized highway system. Gaines belittles Van Kleek, causing him to break down and giving Gaines an opportunity to overpower him. The actor portraying Van Kleek has some particularly satisfying gutteral responses (starting with Gaines' insult "Man, you're a pathetic little shrimp") that illustrate Van Kleek's blubbering nature.
