Abdon Nababal is the president of The Indigenous Peoples Alliance of the Archipelago (AMAN). With a presence in 33 provinces, AMAN is composed of 2,349 indigenous communities from across Indonesia with a population of about 15-17 million. Since 2007, AMAN is a member of the International Indigenous Peoples' Forum on Climate Change (IIPFCC). One of their achievements has been the development of the Draft of Indigenous Peoples Act. At the local level, AMAN has conducted many programs, such as a renewable energy program, the construction of community radios and streaming, citizen journalism - including SMS front liners - website and social media, and indigenous magazine, and a cultural and education program.
