This is a slide show of the RathaYatra festival of Jagannatha Puri, India. Attended by nearly a million people each year, this is the one time of year that the ancient Deities of Lord Jagannatha, Balarama and Subhadra come out of the temple to ride the ratha carts from the main temple to the Gundicha temple and back. This offers excellent views of the Deities and the whole parade festival. We also visit a few of the other spiritual places in town and surrounding area, such as samadhi of Haridas Thakur, Alarlanatha, the Konarka sun temple, etc. You may have to use the pause button to get longer views of those photos you like the most.
