Well everyone, today is day 8! That was the fastest 8 days ever! It's our last few hours in Wyoming! That's kind of sad, but I'm excited to be heading back home. Today, however, we are only going a little over half way home. We are headed to Chamberlain, South Dakota.
The first couple hours Grace and I did our homework. I worked on my history, French, and literature classes. Grace continued to work on her anatomy homework. Abbie just sat there and listened to her iPod and stared out the window. Then we all started to get bored and antsy. I got into the back seat for the first time the whole tour. We all began to get really crazy. We put up our feet onto the middle seat and started singing songs and dancing with our toes. Getting bored with that we started video tapping random things in the car...like the light and air vent. By then Mrs. Wooley decided it was time for us to get out of the van and run around. We stopped at a rest stop and us girls walked around and got rid of some energy.
We got back on the road and after about 45 minutes we reached Wall Drug. We pulled off and parked the van. As always, Abbie had Mrs. Wooley hit the 'lock' button several times to make sure the van was locked. We walked around the stores in Wall Drug, took a few photos, and got the see the T-Rex and Jackalope.
After getting back on the road we decided to take the loop through the Bad Lands. This was the first time Abbie had seen them. She approved and didn't want to leave! The Bad Lands were amazing and stunning like always! We stopped at a few 'lookout spots' to admire the land. There, we presented an original song dedicated to our choreographer for his birthday. On our way out of the Bad Lands we saw 2 goats on the side of the road! Further down the road we saw a cow just walking in our lane! We nicknamed him Slow Poke. He had a daring adventure to the other side of the road, but he safely made it after about 5 minutes.
That excitement and adventure made us tired. I attempted to start on homework, but I failed with trying to stay awake. We all started listening to our iPods, and an hour later we were sleeping. We slept through the time change and all the way to Chamberlain, SD. We were awaken to Bubbah directing Mrs. Wooley where to find our hotel.
Now we're here at the motel. It's really small and reminds Grace of a cabin. Tomorrow we drive home!
