Motherwell offered complimentary tickets to youngsters and the bumper crowd inside Fir Park saw their heroes beat cup finalists St Johnstone 2-1 in the SPFL Scottish Premiership. Lionel Ainsworth and Stephen McManus scored the goals for Stuart McCall's men to keep them on track for a European spot, while Dave MacKay had briefly pulled the Saints level in the first half.
