http://flyhalo.com - In this Motor Minute, Shane gives a couple quick tips on checking airspace on the go during a hastily-planned flight.

As paramotor pilots - we often find ourselves standing on the side of the road in an unfamiliar area, wanting to take a quick flight, but sometimes unsure of what hazards can be present. Aside from weather, environmental, and spacial restrictions; we also have to contend with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulations. Having a couple quick shortcuts on your iPhone and the know-how to use them can give you the confidence to do a quick airspace check on the side of the road. If you have a droid - you probably don't watch our videos.

The Motor Minute is not to be intended to be a substitute for thorough training. Airspace regulations and FAA rules are an in-depth subject, and this video is really just the tip of the iceberg. If you are seeking training, be sure to insist that your trainer is well-versed in airspace and FAA regs. For a good starting point, check out usppa.org and look for instructors.

If you're willing to travel - Team Fly Halo offers extremely comprehensive and thorough training at some of the best locations for paramotor flying in the country. Be sure to check us out, subscribe to our channel, like us on Facebook, and say hello.
