On Tuesday, March 15, 2011 Worcester's City Manager Michael V. O'Brien successfully made a 4-point basketball shot with coaching from Harlem Globetrotter player and Ambassador of Goodwill Buckets Blakes and encouragement from the children from the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester.

The Harlem Globetrotters, who have contributed more innovations to the game of basketball than any other team in history, have implemented the first-ever 4-point shot as part of all of its games on the team's 2011 "4 Times the Fun" North American tour, which makes two stops at the DCU Center: Friday March 18, 2011 at 7PM and Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 2PM. The 4-point shooting spot is located 35 feet from the basket, which is 12 feet beyond the NBA's official 3-point line.
