After using only a dinky (yeah, right) digital recorder for over 2 1/2 years, I finally upgraded my equipment with an external microphone. :)
The two microphones I tried out are $26 and $37 U. S., respectively (forgot to mention that).
At the time I made this presentation, I hadn't done a *true* 'field test' on the microphone I ended up keeping, as the only thing I could say is that it cuts down on wind interference/background crap quite a bit, which is a good thing. However, I have since used it for all of the E. V. P. recordings in the cemetery part of my following "E. V. P.s from a large cemetery, post office (?)" vid, which at the end I included a clip where you could tell a bit of a difference from when I had the external mic plugged in, then unplugged. So I definitely recommend getting one to cut down on background noise and wind if you get that from recording.
Also includes E. V. P. that I recorded in November, 2009 at the end.
