Dr. Audra Yadack, geriatric psychologist, and Dr. Germaine Odenheimer, geriatric neurologist, at the University of Oklahoma Healthy Science Center discuss the ethical responsibility of medical physicians to report patients who refuse to stop driving when it is no longer safe. Dr. Yadack faced this ethical dilemma when working with a patient with dementia who refused to stop driving his Hummer, despite having admitted to hitting a tree and being told by two doctors that he was no longer fit to drive.
