This is a clip from a much longer speech Ben Carson delivered in 2011 to a religious group. I can't say I agree with "all" of his claims of evidence in the full speech, but this clip represents the two most compelling pieces of data making the case for creationism, from an objective scientific perspective, in my opinion.

1. Not only is everything in nature (Ben Carson uses the brain as an example) complex. Everything in nature also involves incredibly complex interaction, dependencies, and balance. It is literally unfathomable to believe all of the dependent systems evolved by accident, one at a time, slowly, through trial and error of genetic uniqueness across generations, over millions of years because the systems don't even work without all of the dependent components working together.

2. The constant defense of evolution is time. We are told that "With enough time anything is possible.", but this is just not true. Again, my personal example to make this point is different than Dr. Carson's, but the example he uses of a hurricane in a junkyard does an excellent job of making the point. If a jump from a junkyard to an operational 747 seems like to large of an evolutionary jump remember this. The reason complexity exists is to increase stability and suitability in constantly changing environments. In other words, the more simple the organism the more exponentially limited the environment has to be in order for it to survive. Try and imagine the unbelievable odds that a single cell organism comes to life from nothing for the first time in the history of earth. Evolutionary theory suggests that it took millions of years for this (actually quite complex) coincidence to happen....and now you have ONE on the entire planet.... How many millions of years would that one "life" have to survive before (for some reason) it happens to divide?.... Why would it divide?... How many million years would it take for the division to be successful and create 2 stable organic lives? What are the odds that the first attempt at division fails leaving no life on the planet once again...See what I mean? Unfathomable right?

Bottom line: It takes FAAAAR more faith to believe in evolution than is required to believe the extraordinary complexity and balance all around us had to have been created. At least, this is my opinion... I could be wrong.
