Short compilation of combat footage from the boys of 3rd platoon, Viper Company 1-26 IN at Firebase Vegas, Afghanistan. This was the hottest place that US Forces occupied during the year we were there, with around 250 firefights to the platoons credit. We stopped counting right before we got to 200 about 6 months in to our deployment. That's roughly half of the TICs (troops in contact) that were acredited to Viper Company, yet we were the least noticed platoon in the korengal valley. And why? Because we only had 2 casualties and niether of them were very serious. Now, you tell me that we were just lucky... I can't believe that was luck. Someone was definitely looking out for us, and our leadership took care of us. They may not have been the best in the Army but they were without a doubt the best in The Valley.
