Obsidian Entertainment and our legendary game designers Chris Avellone, Tim Cain, and Josh Sawyer are excited to bring you a new role-playing game for the PC. Project Eternity (working title) pays homage to the great Infinity Engine games of years past: Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, and Planescape: Torment.

Project Eternity aims to recapture the magic, imagination, depth, and nostalgia of classic RPGs that we enjoyed making - and playing. At Obsidian, we have the people responsible for many of those classic games and we want to bring those games back... and that's why we're here - we need your help to make it a reality!

I wish you good luck on this project. Hope it will be as epic game as other mentioned here. Would love to play and old isometric with a pause like BG, PT or ID :) Cheers.
Wow, so excited to see what comes from this. I know Obsidian won't disappoint. :)
Ah Obsidian, your games are bugged to all hell but always more than interesting enough to play and love despite that :D
Actually Josh Sawyer still works on a NV mod to rebalance the game.
Although since this is an independent project perhaps it wont have to be rushed.
I get what you're saying but this is a different kind of RPG. If it is truly inspired by the games it says chances are you won't be forced to kill for the plot to advance unless it is mainly based on BG.
Because Obsidian are independent, they aren't attached to a publisher like most companies, a publisher just hires them for one game and funds it. Since this isn't one of those times they need to get the funding from somewhere.
When autoplay is enabled, a suggested video will automatically play next.
