The delegates of the EMS Mission Council joined the Monday Evening Prayer for Peaceful Reunification in Seoul held by the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea. The impenetrable border between North and South Korea divides not only the country but also has torn families apart. This situation is nearly unbearable for many people in Korea. Therefore, the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea (PROK), one of the two Korean member churches of the EMS, started these prayer meetings following the example of the Monday demonstrations in Leipzig/ East Germany.
