"Selena", I called out. This was eerily familiar. I walked towards the light leading to our bedroom, afraid of what I might find there. My heart was racing as I grasped the handle and pushed the door open.

"Selena", my voice broke. She was sitting on the closed toilet seat, her face buried in her legs. I slowly walked closer to her reaching my shaky hand out to rest it on her convulsing back.

"I love you, Selena", I told her hesitantly. "I will always love you. No matter what."

"I love you, too", she finally breathed out.

It was almost as if I had been holding my breath for the past few months.

"Baby", I breathed, grasping her in my arms and lifting her up.

I reached for her hand just as something dropped from it. I grabbed it from the floor, about to drop it in the garbage when I saw what was on it. It was a pink plus sign. I looked up as the pregnancy test slipped through my fingers and just as Selena looked up into my eyes and I saw a glow I had never seen before take over her face. A smile I had almost forgotten appeared.

"You're pregnant?" I asked, barely allowing the words to slip through my lips in fear that this was a dream.

I literally felt life flow back into my body when a giggle slipped through her lips.

"I'm pregnant", she whispered.
Tada! Comment please.
