One of the original or first-generation Elvis impersonators, Johnny Harra achieved tremendous success in the late 70s with a multi-million dollar contract at the Silverbird Casino and a huge fan base. He portrayed the mature Elvis for some scenes in the movie This Is Elvis- making him the only impersonator in history to visit Elvis' private quarters upstairs in Graceland. In the 1980s during the height of the "Is Elvis Alive?" hysteria, he was often mistaken for the King by the supermarket tabloids. Here, in a rare public appearance, Johnny talks about being mistaken for Elvis. This is the complete interview from the 1992 TV special "The Elvis Conspiracy 2" hosted by Bill Bixby. 2008 update: Johnny is back with a vengeance and touring again!
