Undercover police officers have been caught posing as "Black Block Anarchists" at least in Greece and Canada (G8/G20 meetings). In 2008, undercover Geek police were filmed braking property and this video was shown in national TV. In 2007, undercover cops in Canada (Quebec) were filmed with rocks in their hands. Agent provocateur-cops tried to provoke people to throw things at the police during London G20 2009. Italian police "staged a stabbing" and hid petrol bombs in facilities used by the protestors during the Genoa protests in 2001.

Many UK police have been found to have been infiltrated environmental and political groups, played major roles in orchestrating the protests, organized the groups to be "more professional", provided funding, one UK-cop took part in an arson in Germany

"There was a plan that[..] instead of charging people for the usual offences like trespassing and minor criminal damage [...] and getting a conditional discharge or a small fine, they were going to set them up with conspiracy charges which were far more serious." -- "Mark Stone" undercover UK police officer
