I always get asked what type of notebook computer would I recommend or do I prefer Macs over other PCs. I wanted to do a video series comparing all types of notebooks and different operating systems to show what you can expect from these types of computers.

In Part 1 I compare a 15" Macbook Pro Retina Model. The configuration is a Core i7 Ivy Bridge (Quad Core) 2.7GHz with 16GB of RAM. Nvidia GeForce GT 650M GPU running the latest version of Mountain Lion. It was the most expensive Macbook Pro you could buy from Apple at the time of filming.

I pit it against the 15" Samsung 9 Series Ultrabook. The configuration is a Core i7 Ivy Bridge (Dual Core) 1.9GHz with 8GB of RAM *No dedicated GPU* running the latest version of Windows 8

How will these notebooks perform when we give them the same tasks, find out now in Apple Macbook Pro Retina VS Other Notebooks Part 1.
