This is a convo that we've been wanting to do since we started Dead End Hip Hop last year. With a little help from our special guest: Browne, we tackle a topic that is discussed everyday around the world amongst hip hop heads alike. Hate it or Love it, diss tracks are a Huge part of Hip Hop. Enjoy the show and as always, see you in the comment section!

Jay-z the most overrated rapper of all time.People call him great because of his mogul status.Nas is a way more talented rapper/writer. All Jay does is brag about material things, like all other mediocre mcs

Eminem- Nail in the Coffin
Ether is maybe the most overrated diss track ever. It consisted of a god-awful instrumental, and an angry Nas spitting gay jokes for three minutes and forty five seconds. It is probably the most juvenile and the worst constructed diss track ever. Nothing Nas really said was that personal, or that relevant. People just remember it, because Nas was the underdog and because it was a bit unexpected. Takeover, on the other hand, is wildly underrated. It was far more personal. "One was ehh.../The other was Illmatic.../That's the one hot album every ten year average.../" Not to mention that everything Jay-Z said came to pass: Nas never regained his previous acclaim from Illmatic, while Jay-Z went on to bask in the love of critics for albums to come.  No Vaseline is the best diss track, in my opinion. The perfect amount of personals and bars. When Cube started talking about Eazy getting fucked, and N.W.A.'s Jewish manager, it was finished. Ice Cube proved that he was the crux of N.W.A., and without him, the crew would fail. And, fail it did.
