A preview of an improved version of my early Fire Mario hack included in "The Missing Stars". The D-pad up button is used to spawn the fireballs itself.

Now the fire only affects solid or animated objects, so you don't have the risk of killing important objects such as invisible stuff, warps, or mario himself :). The explosions, however,
will hurt Mario.

There's a bunch of improvements. Mario speed vector will affect the speed of the fireballs, plus you can do slight modifications in the fireball physics. If you press Z, the fireball will stay very close to the ground. If you press B, the fireball will bounce more. If you press A, the fireball will be bigger.

There are still a bunch of problems, however it's close to an usable Fireball hack.

Gameshark code (warning, 1000+ line long), PPF patch and source code will be provided when I get to perfect it.


When autoplay is enabled, a suggested video will automatically play next.
