And you just want to get a job....or make more money?
PEOPLE ARE NOT GETTING THE JOB THEY WANT IS NOT BECAUSE OF THE ECONOMY BUT BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT CUTTING THROUGH THE NOISE/COMPETITION
YOU ARE MAKING MISTAKES ON THE INTERVIEW
IF YOU HAVE A JOB YOU ARE GETTING OVERLOOKED ITS CAUSE YOU ARE
I want to show you as the employee how to get the job you want....
12 years ago -- the Central Florida's economy was staggered by the attacks of 911, community leaders said it was time to fortify our low-wage work force with better-paying jobs.
There has been progress, but not enough to alter our economic DNA.
LOOKING FOR WORK YOU CANT WAIT FOR THE ECONOMY TO IMPROVE
Central Florida is now the lowest-paying major metro area in the country, according to federal data
THIS ISN'T GOOD FOR ANYONE
EVERYONE LOSES - CENTRAL FLORID ECONOMY, FAMILIES -- BUSINESSES
Metro Orlando's median pay ranks last among the nation's 50 biggest metropolitan areas, and it has the largest share of jobs — 37 percent — paying less than $25,000 a year. That's nearly twice the rate of Las Vegas, another city built on tourism.
Low-Wage jobs are NOT JUST THE neighborhood McDonald's.
FACT: Fast food jobs constitute less than 5% of all low-end jobs. Low-wage jobs are all around us and include: security guards, nurse's aides and home health-care aides, child-care workers and educational assistants, maids and porters, call-center workers, bank tellers, data-entry keyers, cooks, food preparation workers, waiters and waitresses, cashiers and pharmacy assistants, hair dressers and manicurists, parking-lot attendants, hotel receptionists and clerks, ambulance drivers, poultry, fish and meat processors, sewing-machine operators, laundry and dry-cleaning operators, and agricultural workers.
LOW PAYING JOBS EXPERIENCE MORE DEPRESSION -- SAVE LESS MONEY -- SPEND LESS MONEY
FACT - Central Florida also has the smallest share of jobs paying more than $50,000.
THE number of middle-class and upper middle-class jobs tumbled because of the Great Recession
I WANT TO GET YOU OUT OF THAT SITUATION IF YOU ARE IN IT....
ITS MORE COMPETITIVE THAN EVER
YOU HAVE TO STAND OUT TO GET PAID UP
GLUT OF LOW ENTRY poor-paying jobs pushes workers toward poverty and away from middle-class opportunities.
I DON'T WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO YOU....
LAST TWO WEEKS MY COMPANIES HAVE BEEN interviewing people
OVER 100 applicants
I was shocked by what I saw
a) People showing up high
b) People didn't know anything about me
c) Sharing your problems with me.
d) Talking poorly about last job
e) Blaming others for your situation
f) Asking for too much
g) Asking for too little
When you show up for a job interview
1) ACT HUNGRY
2) LOOK GREAT
3) BE CLEAR ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN DO
4) KNOW YOUR TARGET
