I have no luck with Burmecia. Back when the Ex.II PG was still the "bootleg" level one version, the target encounter rate was 0, and I made it through with 1. Now the rate has been increased to 1 and I get 2 instead. All the more disappointing since I was SO CLOSE to the door when I got the first one. That's a load of crap man.
Still, the forced battle here was just about perfect so it all evened out in the end. Handle it just like you did the previous one. Most of the chests here aren't missable and half of them are Mimics anyway. If you don't get the Germinas Boots before making the balcony fall then you'll never be able to reach them, so use the D-pad+O to save yourself some headaches. You also need to get the Mythril Spear here since the scene doesn't trigger later on. You need the Protection Bell obviously, and I grab the Ether while I'm there because they sell for a lot of Gil. The game gives you a ton of free Ethers and you only need to use like 4 or 5 in the course of the whole challenge so their main use here is selling.
Much like in the Ice Cavern, my playing becomes extremely poor towards the end.
I think you can all guess why Quina was knocked out, eh? The end of Disc 1 is next!
