BITSY: Hello Frugalicious fans, I'm Bitsy Jennings, and today we have a

very special show for you.

ERIN: That's right, my name is Erin Brooks, and today we're talking about

something that always makes me tear up.

BITSY: Paying retail?

ERIN: I wouldn't know, I never do. No, today we're talking about weddings.

BITSY: Ahh, what makes you cry at weddings? The fact that people are

pledging their undying love for each other?

ERIN: No, the cost.

BITSY: Ah, absolutely, and this is a special day because we also have the

chance to help out a good friend of ours, a celebrity in the beauty world.

ERIN: Judy from Its Judy Time

BITSY: That's right, Judy is a beauty guru on You Tube and we love her

videos. She makes videos that are so helpful when it comes to hair and

makeup and really all things beauty.

ERIN: And she has some great news to share she's getting married this

BITSY: Well congratulations to Judy. So since she's started wedding

planning, she sort of realized it can get really expensive so she reached

out to us for some tips .

ERIN: So let's start at the beginning. This is a given, but make a budget

and stick to it . You want to be able to scrimp and save in areas that

aren't important so you ca spend it wisely in the areas that are.

BITSY: That's right, now at my wedding I didn't want ceremony programs,

because I think they're a waste of paper, green paper, in my opinion, and

it's the easiest way to save three hundred bucks!

ERIN: Nicely done

BITSY: Thank you very much. Although I did get nice invitations. There are

plenty of ways to save, the options are limitless.

ERIN: You can really save a lot of money by skipping the middle man and

ordering your invitations directly from the manufacturer. You can save 50%

if you go to Crane dot com and order your invitations there, rather than at

your local retailer.

BITSY: Exactly, and many online invite sites have specials. For instance I

recently saw a two for one deal at Invitation Consultants dot com. You

order fifty invites, you get one hundred.

ERIN: And you don't have to worry about the quality of the invitations.

Every online store allows you to preview or order a sample before you make

your final purchase.

BITSY: ahh that's good and there are other ways to save on your invites

too. Like you can save on postage by just not getting odd shaped envelope

sizes or even doing RSVP postcards instead of sealed envelopes.

ERIN: Or if you're crafty, or you actually don't have to be that crafty,

you can order a kit to print right at home and save almost seventy percent.

Now you know my girlfriend Vanessa, that's exactly what we just did, I

helped her our printing her invitations at home she's getting married in

June and they turned out beautifully and I don't' think anyone will know

that we did them ourselves.

BITSY: How special, now you have the thing that you did together for the

ERIN: And we have that memory, we did it together.

BITSY: Yeah, I love it. Now if you don't want to go full DIY, no worries,

order plain looking invitations and then maybe embellish them with a ribbon

that matches your bridesmaid dresses
