A segment from the PBS Memorial Day concert dedicated to those who were wounded and the dedication required of those who must care for them. Actresses Katie Holmes and Dianne West helped re-enact the experiences of Staff Sergeant Jose Pequeno a soldier from New Hampshire. The former Sugar Hill Police Chief suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2006. His mother Nellie and sister Elizabeth were in the audience with Jose on Sunday, and their sacrifices were also recognized. At a private reception following the conter, New Hampshire Supreme Court Chief Justice John Broderick presented Sgt. Pequeno with a commendation signed by Governor Lynch and top lawmakers praising his service and his sacrifice.
