http://findingmygoldengoose.com/guruf... - Gurufocus is a great tool and resource for investing. Gurufocus reviews stock buys, sells and commentaries of guru investors such as Warren Buffett, Peter Lynch, and the best mutual fund managers. This is how it differentiates itself from other tools out there in the market.

This service has its core founded in value investing. What better way than to get investment ideas from the gurus themselves.
Gurufocus however does much more than that. It has screeners, financial analysis and evaluation tools to name a few.

Screeners
There are many screeners to choose from. The all in one screener very customizable and has 120 filters you can choose from to narrow down your search. If you prefer, there are preset value screeners such as the Buffet-Munger screener that reviews to you companies that meet the following criteria:

1. Predictable and profitable
2. Has competitive advantage
3. Has little debt
4. Is fair or under valued

There is also a dividend screener that reviews to you companies that pay at least 4% in dividends and are currently held in the portfolio of Guru investors.

Model portfolio
Model portfolio shows you the performances of the different Gurufocus strategies vs the S&P 500 over the years. The two broad strategies are Guru strategies and Value strategies. You can pick a portfolio that is profitable and model after it.

Gurus
The next module is the gurus module which allows you to generate your stock ideas based on what the gurus are buying, selling or having in their portfolio. One section is the Aggregated portfolio section. This shows you what companies gurus are holding. Another section called Guru bargains shows stocks that have been down 10% since the gurus bought them or recommended to buy.

Insider
If there are insider buybacks it shows that the company might be undervalued and is worth considering. However if you see insider selling, it may be a sign of trouble. Inside this module you can find information on insider transactions, gurus that are buying into it and whether the company are buying back their shares. Insider transaction is another approach that you can generate your stock ideas from.

Market
This module is all about market valuations. You can see which markets are over or undervalued. This allows you to identify investing opportunities globally or by sectors. This module also contains various economic indicators so that you can be in touch with what is happening in the economy. On the left column, you can see the different markets and projected future returns. This is useful as starting points to find your next investment idea.

Articles
They have tons of great articles to grow you as an investor. From research articles to stock idea articles. There's lots of value in here.

Forum
Gurufocus has a community 13,000 subscribers whom you can engaged and get involved with in the forums.

The paid membership comes with 3 monthly newsletters to give you more investment ideas and insights. They are Ben Graham Net-net which gives you bargain stock ideas that Graham would have picked. Second is the Buffett-Munger newsletter, which gives you stock ideas for companies that have good long term prospects that the Gurus Buffett and Munger might pick. And the third newsletter is the micro-cap magic formula one, which gives you stock pick ideas for those companies that are under 50 million.
