It is interesting that when I work with people, they have within them an idea or concept basically known as IMPRINTING AN IDEA. Most people believe that we are IMPRINTED for the first six or seven years of life, but it does not stop there. We continue through our entire life. We are IMPRINTED with ideas and experiences. From these experiences, we operate as if these notions were true. We want to figure out how we would like to change these EMOTIONAL IMPRINTS and actually to ReImprint. One of the earliest noted documentation that I can recall was The February Man by Milton Erickson that recounts the story of a young lady who overcame her fear of water after working with Milton for a few days. Milton provided her subconscious mind with a new set of IMPRINTS and replaced her old ones. We, consciously or unconsciously, replace old IMPRINTS with new IMPRINTS. When a belief no longer serves us, we replace it with a more beneficial belief. You have probably seen photos of little duckies IMPRINTED with a balloon or the baby giraffe (whose mother was killed) IMPRINTED the experience with a Jeep. This little giraffe started following around the Jeep. And of course, those who drove the Jeep fed the giraffe. The interesting thing is that the ducky who was IMPRINTED with a balloon was not interested in adult ducks anymore but rather was interested in round objects like the balloon. Likewise, the baby giraffe was not interested in other giraffes but maintained the interest in Jeeps. When you think about your own life, you have a tendency to think daily of having relationships with characters that are very similar to your own life experiences (where you came from). Those who have had strong emotional IMPRINTS are usually your parents. And then you keep repeating the cycle over and over.

Faster EFT teaches ReImprinting which implies going back to the original memory and changing it to a positive outcome. We call it the FLIP. You revisit a sad memory and release the emotions by using the tapping process. As you release the emotions, the memory will begin to FLIP which means that i.e. you are no longer being yelled at. Positive experiences are now being installed. Memories are a synthetic process; memories are created by those who hold onto them. You can change your memories. The problem is that if you don't change your memories, you keep getting the same result over and over.
