Ed and I are picking the old fiddle tune that commemorates the Battle of New Orleans, which ended on January 8, 1815 with the defeat of the British by Andrew Jackson. Jimmy Driftwood used the tune as the melody for his song of the same name. Ed is playing clawhammer style, in double C tuning, capoed on the 2nd fret. I am picking three-finger style, in open D tuning.
