Life occurs only in a very narrow window. Your body is always monitoring closely your body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, pH, hormone synthesis etc. All those variables have to be within a very narrow range for you to be alive at all. Your brain and body are exceedingly efficient at keeping these rates without us needing to be consciously involved in the process.
We can however, affect big time the acidity of our system. Our body needs to stay in a neutral pH (7.35-7.45) for it to function. Overconsumption of acidic foods can skew dangerously these numbers towards a lower (acidic) pH triggering a wide number of problems.
