KOTD The Grey Zone w/ Real Deal

An intimate and personal interview with Pittsburgh battle rapper Trevor Weller, aka Real Deal, and King Of The Dot's interviewer Zo Duro, during KOTD's Blackout 4 in Toronto.

This interview is a first of its kind amongst battle rap interviews, as Zo does what she does best and brings forth the man behind the artist. Conversation get's deep pretty quickly with the world renown battler by night, and school teacher by day.

In this interview, we see many of Trevor's true colors when discussing intimate details of his mother's recent passing to cancer, his personal trials and tribulations as a single father, and his personal views on hypocrisies found in everyday people.

Aside from serious topics, comedy is also an ingredient found in most of Zo's work, which explains why discussing what type of drunk Real Deal is, also holds its appropriate place in the script.

Regardless of if Zo chooses to use comedy as her vessel to find the truth in her subjects, or whether she chooses to use her more serious and blunt approach, either way you are getting sincerity out of her subjects.
