Having been disappointed that Fanboys, a movie that I was anticipating to be released on the 18th of January, at which I was intending to appear at the premiere of in full "Darth Bruticus" attire, I decided to turn the disappointment into fun by going to the first day of the "Star Trek: The Tour" exhibit, which opened on the same day for a month only in nearby Long Beach.
No, I decided it would be best not to offend the legions of Trekkers by showing up in my Sith regalia... It was just as well that I wore normal clothes (if anyone can call what I wear "normal"... "comfortable" would be more apropo.).
I have always loved Star Trek, in all of it's incarnations. Of course, Star Wars was and always will be my first Sci-Fi love, even though Trek has been around a decade longer. Trek is a close second, followed by Battlestar Galactica in my personal top-three list of all-time science fiction bests.
Enjoy the vid, I sure had fun with it. This is the short version of all of the video I took... I spent a few hours editing out a lot of material, because of the stupid 100MB upload limit. The total footage is more than double what you see here. The fortunate few of you that I make DVD's of my videos for at the end of the year will see the full version, which is almost fifteen minutes long , (almost 400MB).
There is a little surprise for all of you who wished there to be something to come after Star Trek: Nemesis. It's a tease, really, but really cool, nontheless.
And no, there were no characters walking around, and no celebrities around while I was there. I reportedly missed William Shatner by a couple of hours, as he was allegedly staying at the hotel on board the adjacent Queen Mary, and was scheduled to make an appearance later on that day. I didn't find that out until after I left... Bummer!
