(Best viewed in the HD setting and full screen) This is the final version of the time-lapse that captures the construction work of The City of Oakland (California) Measure DD, 12th Street Reconstruction Project, photos taken between January 10, 2011 and November 21, 2012. 911 individual photos created this time-lapse. Taken from Erik's former 11th floor balcony at 1200 Lakeshore Ave., Oakland, CA. The project relocates and narrows a roadway to create a new shoreline park, and daylights the waterway connecting to San Francisco Bay, providing improved water quality and wildlife habitat at Lake Merritt. Funding is provided by the City of Oakland, State Coastal Conservancy, and the Federal Highway Administration. Time-lapse photography by Erik Niemann, Oakland, California, United States.
