The Bible is the most important and the most popular book in human history. It is crucial not only to Christianity, but also to Judaism and Islam. Is it reliable? Can we trust it? Should we trust it? Come with an open mind and join us on a journey through history and decide for yourself...

The Bible, The Verdict of History is a series that was produced by 222 Ministries International to be broadcast to a Farsi (Persian) speaking audience via satellite. Due to the high interest in this series we have also produced an English version which we hope you will enjoy.

The series records a journey through various historical periods to test the reliability of the Bible by examining a number of preserved artefacts, monuments and documents. In each episode the journey follows a section of a special tour led by our guest presenter Jay Smith through the rooms of the British Museum and the British Library. This is then followed by the discussion of some of the issues raised in the tour with the host Sasan Tavassoli.

Jay Smith We are grateful to Jay for becoming our guide for the series. He was born in India and has lived in a variety of countries. Jay has spent many years as a student of theology with particular emphasis on Christian/Muslim apologetics and polemics. He has participated in more than 40 debates with distinguished Muslim statesmen, scholars and apologists. He can often be found debating at Speakers Corner, London, or on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=Pfa nderFilms).
Sasan Tavassoli Sasan is our host for this journey. He is an Iranian-born Christian theologian and minister who is involved in international ministry amongst Iranians. He is a respected teacher involved in producing programs via a number of satellite television broadcasters to a Farsi-speaking audience.
