I am grateful to the professional staff at Lifetime Athletic who check me in everyday, take care of me in the spa, feed me, clean up after me, take care of the friends I refer to the gym, train me, educate me on nutrition and meditate with me. You guys are Rock Stars! There is winning culture here and if you embrace it, your reward is better health, self-esteem and happiness.
YOGA for BADASSES! My yogis have taught me that if you show up on your mat and just breathe, you are doing yoga. It's too easy. What are you waiting for? Get yourself to a class! Everything you do starts with breathing and natural elongated movements that contribute to improved athletic performance. I don't consider myself an athlete but I have been working like one for the past 15 months. Yoga was something I did to lengthen and condition my muscles to prevent injury before weight training but a funny thing happened on my way to the chin up bar...... I started to heal faster and my weight training improved dramatically. I became stronger. I was able to do more with less pain and less down time. This is when I realized that yoga was something that helps improves the quality of my life.
If my Yogis at LTA decide to ever organize a trip to India (the motherland of yoga), I'm already packed with my sari and Lululemons.
