Youth Power, Youth Power, Youth Power, stand up for you and me
Youth Power, Youth Power, Youth Power, our community

Verse 1:
For a youngen I can dream a lot, trying to be a lawyer, or a doctor, or an astronaut
They say it's big, but I still got hope, and I'm trying to be a rapper cuz my flow's so cold
So for now I'm just waiting, when I talk about the future they avoid the conversation
Like man, you're way too young, they've keep sayin',
So I hit a couple places and filled some applications
I didn't get a call all day, so I called up R.J., can we make a resume?
I'm pretty young, and I'm building that knowledge
But to get these jobs, what do I take in college?

Chorus x 2

Verse 2:
It don't really their opinion is irrelevant, I feel big man I'm feelin' like an elephant
My bank account in deficit, I had to be resilient, there was something I was missing I
I knew I had the image but couldn't see vision I was ready to go
All I needed was ignition, I overcame some obstacles
Chasing success, see well now I got the strength
If I could be the worst, then I could be the best
If I could make the dirt then I could clean the mess
Make music for the silent youth, I ain't stressed
Cuz if I shine, then you shine, we shine together
In it for one another, stay strong together!

Chorus x 2

Verse 3:
Woke up in the morning, I was dreaming 'bout an Escalade
Can't afford no foolishness, I went and got my resume
I was a busboy, I took the bus boy, still no complaining cuz the cheques were in a rush boy
Stand up for something, or fall for anything
The only hobby that youth had before their job was sleeping in
Practice makes perfect, but you have to have the passion
If you wanna make the move, then you gotta take action
But don't get it twisted, I ain't tryin' to educate (nah)
It's just the obvious I'm tryin' to state
(Success) -- I'm tryin to succeed
But I didn't realize it was in my arms reach

Chorus x 2

Bridge: x 4
I know that I can, if I take a stand,
(We can all advance but we gotta take a chance!)
