The follow video was digitized from 16mm film at the Office of Image Archaeology. This film was contributed by Bill Blair who is also our narrator. Bill Blair is the 2nd son of Art and Marion Blair and was at the time of this interview 71 years young. His brother Ron who also appears in this film was 74 at the time of the interview.

The Blair Brothers lumber mill, logging and mill operations was located north of Pacific House just a little east of Pollack Pines and Fresh Pond on Highway 50. The mill began operations sometime in the 1930's and the property was sold to the Michigan California Lumber Co. in 1958. Shortly after Michigan Cal raised the property, took down all of the buildings and sold the equipment. The retail operations continued in Placerville.
