Willie James Jennings, a Duke Divinity School theologian and Baptist minister, recently explained the concept that earned him the 2015 Louisville Grawemeyer Award in Religion. His award-winning 2010 book, “The Christian Imagination: Theology and the Origins of Race,” focuses how Christianity has contributed to segregation and racism in America.
